LIMITED FIVE-YEAR NON-TRANSFERABLE WARRANTY

SUMMARY OF THE WARRANTY

We, LAMM INDUSTRIES, INC, having a factory at 2621 East 24th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11235 U.S.A., warrant to the original purchaser of a LAMM product that such product, with the exception of vacuum tubes, shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of five years from the date of purchase on return of a Warranty Registration Form. We warrant to the original purchaser that any vacuum tubes used in the product shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of two (2) months. To obtain this warranty, however, the original purchaser must validate the warranty in the manner described below. The warranty is not extended by the length of time during which the original purchaser is unable to use the product. Repairs and replacement parts provided under this warranty shall carry only the unexpired portion of this warranty.

VALIDATING THE WARRANTY

In order to validate the warranty, the original purchaser must mail to our factory the Warranty Registration form (included in the Operating Manual) within fifteen (15) days of purchase of the product. The Warranty Registration form must be completed, signed and dated, and must also be accompanied by a copy of the bill of sale or other proof of purchase of the product. Failure to comply with the above requirements will result in the Warranty being restricted to one (1) year Warranty cited in the Owner's Manual.

ITEMS INCLUDED IN THE WARRANTY

Equipment under warranty is considered such Lamm equipment that is sold by 
1) an authorized Lamm U.S. dealer within the U.S. to the U.S. residents, or 
2) an authorized Lamm distributor in his designated country (countries) to dealers/residents of his respective country or countries.   

ITEMS EXCLUDED FROM THE WARRANTY

The warranty does not apply to any product 

A) that has been purchased contrary to the conditions indicated in points 1) and 2) of the "Items Included in the Warranty"

B) that has been misused, abused or altered

C) to which repair on warranted items has been attempted or made by an unauthorized individual.

The only location authorized to make warranty repairs is our factory or an authorized Lamm distributor.

The warranty is automatically voided and service of equipment terminated in the following circumstances:

a) if a resident of the country that has an authorized Lamm distributor purchases Lamm equipment (whether brand-new or pre-owned) from another country that has a different authorized Lamm dealer/distributor

b) if a resident of any country purchases Lamm equipment (whether brand-new or pre-owned) through any dealers/distributors that are not included in the Lamm list of authorized sellers (http://www.lammindustries.com/dealers.html)

c) if a resident of any country purchases Lamm equipment (whether brand-new or pre-owned) on the "gray market" through web-based dealers/distributors that are not included in the Lamm list of authorized sellers (http://www.lammindustries.com/dealers.html)

OUR OBLIGATIONS UNDER THE WARRANTY

If you have validated the warranty (as described above), then, during the warranty period, any product exhibiting defects in materials and/or workmanship will be repaired or replaced, at our option, without charge for either parts or labor, at our factory.

OBTAINING SERVICE UNDER THE WARRANTY

Any product not performing satisfactorily may be returned to our factory for evaluation. Return merchandise authorization (RMA) number must first be obtained by either calling or writing to LAMM dealer from whom this unit was originally purchased prior to shipping the product to us. You must clearly describe the problem being experienced with the product. The product must be packaged either in its original packing material, or in replacement packing material that we can supply to you for a fee. You are responsible for paying shipping charges to our factory, and are also responsible for any damages to the product caused during shipment to us. We recommend that you insure your shipment to us in the amount you paid for it. We will pay for return shipment if the product is found to be defective as mentioned above. We reserve the right to repackage any unit for shipment at your expense.  

EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY

There is no other express warranty on this product. Neither this warranty nor any other warranty, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability of fitness, shall extend beyond the warranty period. 

DISCLAIMER OF INCIDENTAL AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES

No responsibility is assumed for any incidental or consequential damages. This includes any damage to another product or products resulting from such a defect. 

LEGAL REMEDIES OF PURCHASER

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

THIS STATEMENT OF WARRANTY SUPERSEDES ALL OTHERS CONTAINED IN THE MANUAL

 

Warranty on pre-owned equipment and dealer demos

Pre-owned Lamm equipment:
We provide a 5-year warranty to the original purchaser of Lamm products obtained through an authorized Lamm dealer.  Pre-owned equipment does not carry the warranty; however, in certain circumstances we might be willing to sell the remaining balance of the 5-year warranty term (counting from the original purchase date) to interested individuals.  There are a number of conditions involved; therefore, each such case will be reconciled individually.

Dealer Demos
Under the terms of our contract, Lamm dealers commit to keeping their demos for at least one year.  Dealer demos carry the following warranty to the first buyer depending on the age of the equipment:
1) a 1-year warranty if the demos are less than 1 (one) or 1 (one) year of age,
2) a 2-year warranty if the demos are 1+ (one+)  through 3 (three) years of age, and
3) no warranty if dealer demos are  3+ (three+) years of age. 

However, the warranty on dealer demos will be validated only if the customer sends in the warranty registration within the timeline indicated on the warranty registration form (included in the manual).  For more details, see "Validating the Warranty" section on this Warranty webpage.
